Sales success does not just happen by accident. Like in any marketing and sales organization, one has to determine what one’s product/service is, who the target market is, what the competition is, what your value proposition and point of differentiation is, who your strategic alliances are, how you plan to advertise and market the product and finally how to effectively price it.

Sales for this Atlanta-based Gencom mobile telecommunications company were good, taking advantage of timing and technology advances of mobile paging devices and cellular phones.

But it was not until Jim came in and established a real business plan for running the sales organization that sales began to double and even triple from what was the norm for years.
