Main contribution:

The company had been calling on end users direct to sell and market their services, payroll services, which was difficult to do due to the nature of the confidentiality of the product/service.

 

Jim developed the concept of calling on third party influencers such as banks and accountants who already had the trust of these small businesses and enlighten them to the idea of how the Paychex services could be of benefit to their clients; a concept that spread throughout the company and became the main source of sales.
